our history

Rooted in Community

La Jefa Consulting was founded on a simple belief: meaningful relationships create stronger communities.

As a fourth-generation Mexican American and Idaho native, founder Oralia Lorenzana has spent her life building connections between people, organizations, and opportunities. Growing up in the communities she now serves provided firsthand insight into the challenges many Hispanic individuals and families face when navigating systems, accessing resources, and finding support.

A Career Dedicated to Empowerment

For more than two decades, Oralia has worked to expand opportunities and strengthen communities through workforce development, entrepreneurship support, financial empowerment, and community engagement.

Her professional experience includes serving with:

  • Idaho Department of Labor

  • Idaho Women's Business Center

  • MoFi

  • Community and nonprofit organizations throughout Idaho

Through these roles, she has helped connect individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and organizations with resources that create lasting impact.

Building Bridges

Throughout her career, Oralia recognized a common challenge: many organizations genuinely want to serve Hispanic and underserved communities but often struggle to build trust, engagement, and meaningful relationships.

At the same time, many community members face barriers to accessing information, opportunities, and services.

La JEFA Consulting was created to bridge that gap.

Today

Today, La Jefa Consulting helps organizations authentically connect with Hispanic and underserved communities through outreach, engagement, training, strategy, and partnership development. At the same time, the organization remains committed to advocating for individuals and families by helping them access resources, opportunities, and support systems that improve quality of life.

Our Vision

To create stronger, more connected communities where every individual has access to opportunity and every organization has the tools to engage communities with trust, respect, and authenticity.
